End of Project Thoughts

So, I've just finished the first project of third year. This is my penultimate brief of my university career. In all honesty it's a bit odd, it feels like it's flown by. I'm excited for my final major project (FMP) though albeit I am slightly scared - I'm relying on the computers to do their job well quite a lot. In this small weekend I have given myself as a break before jumping right into my FMP I've managed to watch the new 'a Series of Unfortunate Events' on Netflix - I loved it!. I've also gotten to play around with MASH in Maya as you saw in my previous post as well as to update this site! Woop woop! My showreel needs updating with my new stuff - thinking of a complete re-editing to make it more specific to VFX (that's what I want to go into) - I also need to speed it up, it's very slow and slightly boring to be honest. I like the work in it but sometimes it's a bit prototype like - a bit like these blog posts I put up.

My current thoughts on my FMP are:

- How large do I wish this robot to be?

- Should I keep with the lake idea or go with something like a bathtub?

- How much water simulation can this laptop cope with? I should do some further practicality tests.

- Macbeth charts and lighting balls - I want to use them if I can but they're not the cheapest of items, I wonder if there's a tutorial on how to make one out there.

- Shots - Close up and shot professionally or handheld?

So yeah, that's my thoughts on what's going on at the moment. I'll catch you tomorrow when I make a post for the final street and its subsequent breakdown.

P.S: I wonder what a robot would be like with a Wes Anderson colour palette? Hmm... Interesting...
