University: VFX Professional Brief Update 02 - The Truck

Sorry this is a day late, was busy packing for university! On with the blog!
So, one of the pieces of feedback we got on our project was that the foreground was a bit empty - we agree with this. A suggestion was put forward that we insert a truck downloaded off Turbosquid. Now as we are students and therefore not particularly ranking on the Forbes rich list we decided to use a free model. The free model in this case was as so:
This model needed quite the touch up in order to be convincing.
I remade the wheels, smoothed out some of the elements, cut out the windows and made some geometry for the trailer rather than the cube.
As well as this, I brought the front materials into Mari to add a bit of dirt and a specular pass.
The planes in the cabin in this case are to be textured with a green screened driver and truck background.
